"There are many amazing things about this resort. Specifically, some of the staff are incredible - Alberto, Victor, Abdel (all amazing at their jobs!). They were always so kind and attentive during any meal we had! The rooms were clean and the beach front was very nice and relaxing. The food was incredible (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Lots of selection and really enjoyed how fresh everything was. The front desk staff struggled a bit with friendliness. I chalked that up to being very busy and likely not a lot of support. The rooms did not always get cleaned and our room key some times did not work and we waited quite a bit to get it fixed. The pool was too hot to use but we used the upstairs pool instead and the beach! Both great choices! Other than that, it was a good property to stay at for the price :)"

"If you’re looking to relax, enjoy great food, and take in beautiful views, this is the perfect hotel. If you’re looking to party, this probably isn’t the place for you. The rooms are beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent. Everyone who works there goes above and beyond to make sure you’re well taken care of. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be coming back!"

"We had ex exceptional time. My husband and I (in our later 30s shhhh lol) We were told that we’d be part of the older crowd there, this, and that as if we shouldn’t be there before we even came but I’m SO glad we did. It was amazing. The breakfast included option was amazing. All staff were AMAZING!! Initially I booked the private Jungle Room which with its esthetic would have had me… unfortunately… I’m someone that HAS to have a TV in the background to sleep.its a trauma response sorry yall, and our WOULD NOT get hot. The moment i was able to get through my shower and go talk to them, they immediately moved us to a private beach side which was soooooo much better IMO. The street noise was minimal and the views incredible. I wish I could have just stayed. 6 days wasn’t enough for me exploring this little island, and the Mayan Monkey was incredible. Thank You for an amazing first out of my home experience."

"This hotel is wonderful. So cute and homey with a beautiful garden and great beach. The rooms are large and have good air conditioning. The hotel includes a hearty and tasty breakfast at Loretta’s Restaurant and Beach resort and access to their beach. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The beach has nice sand, good swimming area, snorkels and kayaks. The food there is excellent. We did not even go anywhere else during our 5 day stay! It is within walking distance of Punta Sur and many restaurants. It is located in the southern end of the island which is more quiet. We love it and are going back in 2027."

"Wonderful family stay at Casa Azul Maya! We did have a ground floor room which was a bit more humid - but the AC kept it cool and it was fine for all of us. Beds were comfortable, staff helpful and room was cleaned everyday with fresh bath and beach towels as needed. The partnership with Loretta’s was perfect; amazing breakfasts, access to pool and ocean were picturesque. South side of the island is much calmer and slower pace -with great food, coffee and Punta Sur—- we’d come back in a heart beat. "
