Paradise! A quaint hotel overlooking the ocean. Clean and very comfortable room. All of the staff are friendly and Alex is an exceptional hostess. At night you can hear the ocean waves- didn’t know that was possible in the Cancun area.

This place is a hidden gem! The property and its amenities (great food, comfortable beds, clean pool, and kind employees) make a beautiful, tranquil getaway on the south side of this gorgeous island. But the best part is the wonderful, friendly staff! Hector and Oswaldo are the best.

A gorgeous property and truly magical. I was torn between this and Suenos to go to Kin Ha, which is right next door. This was a few dollars less and it was so perfect. It's a gorgeous property with sweeping views. Hector at the front desk and Luis by the pool provided excellent service. I went to Kin Ha while I waited to check in. This is a place that shouldn't be missed! However, I am so glad I went with the day pass and then stayed here. It was so much quieter at Joya. I had the Jr. Suite with an incredible ocean view. One draw back is the Yachts that play loud music and party. But there is a reason for that - its because the snorkeling is the absolute best right in front of this property. Bring you water shoes and its actually the best swim in the area. I know because I used my water shoes to walk on seaweed and swim all the way to Loretta's. LOL. It's not a sandy beach but it is the BEST swim area. Once you get there, you will understand. I actually enjoyed sitting and reading by the pool and walking up and down to the ocean - drinking margaritas from the pool bar. I had planned to go to another beach club, but the environment was too nice at Joya! The kitchen was delicious for breakfast in the morning. I would definitely love to come back. Thanks!

Very pretty and quaint property away from all the business of Playa Norte. Very close to punta sur, only a 10 minute walk. We came to relax and enjoy the beauty and this property delivered. It’s small and older but it’s beautiful and very charming. We would definitely return.

Most relaxing vacation ever!! Beautiful, quiet, clean, well maintained, quaint hotel on cliff side with best views of the aqua water and Cancun waterfront! Exceptional staff that was friendly, helpful, and gracious. Stairs down to the water where swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking awaits you. Walking distance to south end beach bars with live entertainment! Paradise!

The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The property was quiet and beautiful. Would definitely recommend if you want a quiet getaway. Multiple restaurant/bars within walking distance as well as convenient store. Area was safe, we never had any issues in our 5 days staying here. We will be returning.

They are on the Ocean and have the best views, staff is friendly, and the property gives the old Mexican charm.Good for Insta Posts! Its a nice place but needs upgrades, we were for a night so could manage but in our room, the toilet door was faulty, TV was not working.

Lots of stairs with uneven steps. The rooms are nice and clean but their bathroom is difficult to use. Every time someone gets a shower the whole bathroom is wet! We had to ask for a squeegee. And if someone is showering no one else can use the toilet. Staff is good and helpful. They have stairs to the access the ocean so you can swim in the ocean but there’s basically no beach. Overall a Fair Hotel for someone who wants a place to stay and explore the island with a golf cart.
