"Lovely warm room with comfy bed and immaculately clean linen. Tea, coffee and chocolate available together with biscuits. Bathroom spotless with minuature shower gels etc. Loads of breakfast choices with the cooked items cooked to perfection. Hosts very friendly. A five star experience."

"Rooms very beaten down, marks on walls, paint peeling off bathroom door. I understand you get what you pay for as it was cheap but the rooms could have been cleaner, there was loads of spider webs above windows and all on ceiling. Had 2 power cuts during the night. At least bed was comfortable "

"Rooms were fine , beds nice , food poor, waitied for ages for anyone to come to the bar, a good 15 mins, then food cake out ok, the breakfast was poor, sausages undercooked, potato burned and had to ask for coffee, and other bits . Food was not ready for breakfast which was ok , but quality of food really let it down . Staff were nice though and tried hard to help 3 stars , very average tbh ."

"Breakfast was not good. Only 2 pieces of bacon left and 1 hash brown. Also was never told they charge you an extra £20 for checking in before 3pm. Luckily the receptionist did have a room ready so gave it to me without charging. This is something to look out for."

"The bed was so hard, mattress was so thin that it was about as comfortable as sleeping on the floor! The single bed was better. The room was very tired, and the furniture very worn and old. The positive was the price and the included continental breakfast which was self service and had a good selection. "

"Delightful and comfortable pub based hotel. My room was so comfortable and well appointed that I wished I was staying longer. Staff all very warm and helpful. Dinner was excellent and the breakfast choice was good"

"There was an issue with my booking at the usual place i stay so i booked this last minute and i was not disappointed. The staff were super friendly, the rooms have recently been refurbished and the room I stayed in was beautiful. This is now my new favourite place to stay in the area and I will be back. Thank you. "Hotel does have some parking but the majority of parking is either on street or at NCP near Tesco. Decent pubs in the immediate vicinity of the hotel restaurant which looked good"
