"When we arrived we were met by Leo who was our contact for the entire stay. He was our bartender, waiter, and tour guide. Leo made our vacation memorable, he went above and beyond. The resort was beautiful and all the employees where friendly and did everything to make sure we were comfortable and happy. When we go back to San Ignacio we will be staying at this resort again. "The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was great. The property's jungle setting and landscaping made me feel like I was in a jungle. And while not a nightly occurrence, having howler monkeys howling the first evening really set the tone to remind me I wasn't in California. A special callout to the staff at Fiona's restaurant, the food was great, but talking with the staff there was super fun. I would recommend Maya Mountain Lodge to anyone and everyone."

"Clean, quiet, and inexpensive option convenient to everything in San Ignacio. The manager, Hugo, was on site and very helpful during our stay. The kitchen area was well stocked with dishes and utensils and was nice to have available. AC worked well in the rooms and it was a relief to have the option to cool off at the end of each day. We’d happily stay there again."

"The hotel was pretty modern and new. The double suite was very large and beautiful. It was a pretty quiet, family business and the staff was so nice and accommodating. It felt like staying with family. The food was delicious as well. The area is pretty isolated, but a short cab ride can take you to town for groceries and restaurants. Super refreshing and pretty pool, and the beds were SO comfortable. "
