"The room was clean and adequate for a night’s sleep after a long day of hiking. However, we were very dissatisfied and disappointed that the spa pools closed at 8 pm and only reopened at 10 am. We arrived around that time, and we specifically booked this place because of its amenities. The restaurant also closed at 8 pm, and breakfast was only available until 9:30 am. This meant we were unable to use the hot pools during our stay, and we could not have breakfast there either. I would not...

"I would not recommend staying here if you want to get a good night's rest. You can literally hear everything through the walls, conversations, doors opening, footsteps, etc. Tried calling management to change my room, but they did not respond to my messages or answer the phone. Very disappointed, in particular to the response I received after I had checked out (see email acknowledging the issue)."

"Very tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished accommodation with lovely views out over Lake Taupo. The suite had everything we needed and more. Lots of lovely little touches. Breakfast was excellent. Liz and Steve were very welcoming hosts and we would not hesitate to recommend Belle Vue. We shall certainly stay here again if we come back to Taupo."
