Food in the pub was terrible, first time i’ve ever sent a meal back anywhere. Fish and chips. Looked like the oil it was fried in hadn’t been changed in years and was inedible. "

"Had to wait for someone to come to the desk and then she forgot to give us a key. I am allergic to feathers and she brought ida new comforter and pillow but it was actually a dirty matresss cover. Was so gross. We just slept under the duvet cover. Hair in the shower. Not impressed at all. "

"Easy to find, easy to park and always a warm friendly welcome. Room has everything I need, having a fridge is particularly good. No disturbance from busy main road, Indian restaurant next door is excellent. I stay here every 6-8 weeks for work, always relaxing."

"You’ll experience an awful lot of creaking floorboards in this hotel which isn’t a problem unless you’re room is directly beneath someone who moves around a lot. The room I stayed in also had a weird kind of old person smell that you really notice when you first enter your room but which, I suppose you just get used to when you’re in for the night. "Nice quiet spacious clean room (carpet a bit frayed in places) - just what we needed for a business stay. Good location in quiet street but handy for the town centre."

"Great hotel and spa facilities. Shame about the TVs that have no TV guide facility due to them being linked into some daft hotel menu nonsense. The two rooms I stayed in also had screens that were failing and were almost entirely blue in tone due to the cheap outdated Samsung TVs that are in all of the rooms."

"Stairs to the rooms were quite steep but the room was great. Comfortable bed and lovely to have fresh milk and homemade cookies. Unfortunately the shower could do with some attention as water was really slow to run away.Good selection at breakfast, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Could do with either cleaning or replacing the carpet on stairs and landing as it’s very stained and does them no favours in terms of appearance. Overall great stay and would recommend."
