"Staff very helpful, hotel was fine but very dated. The bathroom felt a little bit grubby. Had a few issues with the keys which were eventually solved, but no major problems. Good location, near to a major bus stop to go into central Siena. It’s worth noting that buses are quite unreliable in the evening so you may have to get a taxi back to the hotel (10-12 euros ish)."

"We had a blast, and the proprietors were fantastic. They had plenty of local knowledge and seemed to have a real passion for what they do. Plus the venue is wonderful, and they have the best patio with views of the Tuscan hills. Would recommend, and would stay again."

"Stayed at Santa Caterina for 2 nights when visiting Siena in May 2026. The hotel is conveniently located just outside of the city walls (Porta Romana) with easy 15-20 min walk to the Duomo and all other major landmarks. We didn't pay enough attention about requesting the parking before the arrival and were very frustrated at ourselves (good luck with finding the parking spot outside of the ZTL), but the gentleman at reception desk saved us by finding the spot in their very limited parking lot....

"Location is good. Large property with good parking. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel aesthetic is bland and utilitarian. Breakfast is good. The rooftop deck is lovely but small."

"Old historic building, beautiful garden terrace for an evening drink as you watch the sun go down. Staff very helpful. Our room was small, we should have upgraded as there are better rooms. Pay attention to the directions they send you as it's impossible not to get fined if you come any other way."

"Overall a great experience at the hotel. We chose this hotel because it had parking available, but upon arrival, we were told that there were only 4 spots and all were spoken for. Happily, there was adequate free parking on the street (we stayed in late May). So no big deal. The air conditioning took a while to kick in, but eventually it got to a comfortable level (note: there is a remote control to turn on the regular AC). There is no elevator / lift, so be prepared to carry luggage...
