"I highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. Every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. An excellent choice of breakfasts included in the price. The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside."

"I would never recommend this place to anyone. The staff don’t return emails answer phones or return phone calls. Check-in ends at 9 PM and if you aren’t there you can’t get into your room. I’ve travelled the world and never in my life had such bad customer service. The Travelodge however has excellent staff clean rooms and comfortable beds. At nearly half the price is an exceptionally better value."

"We had a lovely stay at Cuckoo Cottage and would happily return. The location is excellent for exploring the Peak District, with beautiful walks straight from the doorstep, including Lathkill Dale. "We tried to check in early as we were at a wedding during the day. The receptionist said unfortunately this wasn’t possible despite letting other people to do so and would let us know as soon as a room was available (no one contacted us at all). They offered to hold our bags but we later just found it unattended in the reception area. "The spa and pool was love, we realkt enjoyed it, but we had no kettle in our room we walked to reception and asked for one, I offered to collect it and take it back but they saud no a member of staff will bring it , we never received it, so couldn't have any drinks in our room, room was clean but dated , but on the whole we enjoyed it, breakfast was great"

"We chose this hotel because it advertised a swimming pool and thought it would be a nice treat for my son and me. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. At check-in, we were kindly offered a complimentary room upgrade, which we appreciated. Sadly, the upgraded room felt more like a downgrade.
