"Nice hotel in a great location, a short 5 minute walk from Nishiki Market and Gion. Room was clean and reasonably spacious with nice decor. Biggest complaint was the pillows were so uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep. We were provided softer pillows upon asking, however these were only a marginal improvement."

"Stayed here for a week with my daughter. The people were the kindest and I’m so grateful for them. The breakfast was amazing. One of the best I’ve had in Japan. The property is great and the restaurant and bakery in the hotel helped a lot for snacking. Overall would stay here again and 10/10 recommend it to anyone. You won’t be disappointed. "

"This place is absolutely incredible! First of all it’s beautiful, calm, and relaxing. It’s in a great location and an easy walk to cute shops and restaurants and marketplaces. The bus system is very fast, convenient and the trains and the train stations are much easier to understand than Shinjuku! You can definitely use this as a nice base to go deeper into Kyoto, where all the Matcha shops are and over to the Fushimi Inari Temple. The floor beneath the lobby has a beautiful spa- like bath and the hot water was amazing after walking 25,000 steps a day! The rooms are much bigger than others we found in Tokyo and the beds are super comfy. We definitely recommend this place and would definitely stay here again."
