"The Beach House was nothing short of amazing. Entry be code, given well in advance. Awesome location - short drive to airport, quite central to visit attraction all around the island. (You do need a car, regardless of where you're staying.) Ample free parking along the road. The unit itself was spotless and very tastefully furnished. Comfortable seating for 4 in the living room and a generous kitchen/dining table for 6. Each bedroom has its own ensuite with nice showers. A 3rd bathroom/shower on the main floor, so great for larger families. Nice balcony overlooking the ocean off one bedroom. Kitchen fairly well equipped with utensils, plates, cups, etc. Note there is a stove but no oven. Host left a nice welcome basket. A small grocery just 2 blocks away and a full sixed Pingu "hypermarket" about 4 minutes up the road. Would happily recommend this place to anyone visiting the island. Couldn't have been happier!"

"Firstly, I must say that the staff at the VIP Executive Azores Hotel is by far the most professional, helpful and friendly staff we've ever interacted with. The service throughout our stay was exemplary. Our deepest thanks goes to restaurant staff Hugo, Paulo, Erica and Elizaura. Enrique at the reception desk was always helpful and ready to hear about our day. The hotel is perfectly situated to the City Centre, the harbour, the pineapple plantation and the botanical gardens. The restaurant meals were fantastic, from the breakfast and dinner buffets to the sit down service provided at lunch. Our room balcony faced the ocean, and the rooftop terrace provides a view of the harbour and the landscape. Great experience!"

"Definitely consider this hotel! Solo traveler who liked the small 'apartment' style room I booked. One room was a kitchenette with table/tv/sofa and another was the bedroom with attached bath. I could cook or microwave food and store items in the refrigerator. The Hotel seemed relatively new or newly-renovated. Breakfast was provided and it was well staffed and offered a range of food and drink options. Nice location just a few blocks from the center of Ponta Delgada and a view of the Atlantic Ocean. I did not partake of the hotel's offered baths and pool, but many did. One downside is a tiny elevator so on occasion have to take the stairs to save time--five floors up for me--worked off a few calories."

"We loved out time here. White is a very special hotel, it is small and the staff was attentive. They gave us a phone to communicate with them whatever we needed during the day. They provided detailed site seeing information and restaurant information and they would coordinate anything you needed. The hotel itself was beautiful. It does not look like much from the street, but once you walk through the doors it is all ocean views. We enjoyed time spent at the infinity pool overlooking the water. Delicious breakfast was served outside so you could maximize time spent with that view. Dinner was also delicious with freshly caught fish and vegetables from their own garden. We loved our time in the Azores and big reason was this because of this hotel. We are already planning our return."

"Was a beautiful location on the beach away from the busy town nearby. The staff were great. Our air conditioner broke and they brought a fan and then fixed it the next day. Loved the views from the balcony and the breakfast in the morning. Parking was a bit fun to figure out as you share the lot with beach goers, but we were able to find a spot most of the time. Nice kitchenette and mini fridge. Shower was powerful and nice and hot. Really good restaurant about a 10 minute walk east along the coast called Sunset Beach. Try their traditional steak or any other beach fare available."
