There was a convenient and secure bike storage room in the garage with local bike services nearby. The many routes as detailed by the Centrum RVV all originate at the doorstep of the hotel. Service de location de vélos pratique pour se rendre dans le centre ville de Gand en 20 mn avec des pistes cyclables le long de cours d'eau : très agréable. "Hotel Steenhuyse was a very nice place for me to stay on my cycling trip to Flanders. Bart was a great host. He even sat and had a nice chat with me at breakfast. My room was very large, clean, and well-decorated. Breakfast was a buffet with a variety of meats, breads, pastries, and cereals. As a cycling fan from the U.S., I couldn't recommend a hotel more than this one. It is a few steps away from the Tour of Flanders museum, and a short ride from the famous climbs of the Ronde. No USB ports, no kettle, warm fridge, safe that didn't open, bedside wall light front plate fell off, no instructions on how to operate anything, no information about breakfast/dinner menus, bed sheets do not fit the bed. Room was clean, bathroom was very nice, hairdryer included. Staff pleasant and mostly helpful. Restaurant did not make a good impression at dinner. Slow service, wrong order after long wait followed by another long wait for the correct...

"Wir, 2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder (15 & 11) hatten eine Suite mit zwei Doppelbetten. Alles war sehr sauber, die Betten sind sehr bequem. Das Frühstück in sehr schönen Räumlichkeiten hat uns gut gefallen. Einzig meine Kontaktaufnahme vor unserem Aufenthalt zu den Parkmöglichkeiten hat nicht geklappt. Wir konnten aber einfach auf das Gelände fahren und die Parkgebühren bezahlen. Wenn wir wieder in Gent sind, kommen wir gerne wieder!"
