Very close to the ring road.Michael was very helpful by picking me up from the outskirts. He made sure I had maps and info and took me to the bus stop at the end of my stay.

Our stay at Agli Archi Dimore Storiche was absolutely wonderful. Michele the owner is so kind, he picked us up from the car park and drove us into the old city of Matera. He showed us on a map the best walking path and sights. We can’t wait to visit again!

Lovely buidling and location.

It's at the heart of Sassi and the gorge. Next to famous film location. Could have upgraded their aircon as it is a little warm but the staff was friendly to give us electric fan, but overall stay was ready good.

super host; he came to meet us and picked us up at the bus station and then dropped us off when we left!. very informative about the area and activities. Room was great, comfy bed; huge bathroom; cleaned everyday; free water everyday. Perfect location, just in front of the canyon.

Excellent host who met us at the bus station which is in the new city of Matera. We should have gone by train from Bari not bus! The old stone buidling is typical of the ancient quarter and well located for restaurants, bars and is in the main historic area. The host is friendly and the place is highly recommended.

Hidden gem

Matera is beautiful and historic. We could not park in old city but we’re collected from where we parked. The room was period and comfortable. Many places to see and dine. This is a hiker city and not for those with limitations since many stairs and inclines are difficult. Don’t miss seeing Matera.

Quasi eccellente

Nel centro di Matera. Dentro ad un sasso. La stanza molto bella e pulita. Il proprietario è gentilissimo e cordialissimo. Non c’è il parcheggio essendo proprio nel centro ma il proprietario, una volta scaricata l’auto dai bagagli, ti accompagna al parcheggio. Ti concede un permesso speciale per entrare in centro con la macchina per il tempo del deposito bagagli. Peccato che manchi la colazione. Un buono ad un Bar vicino poteva essere un’ottima soluzione.

Buongiorno Sig. Andrea, abbiamo già provato con i buoni colazione, molti colleghi si limitano al cappuccino e cornetto al bar, per una colazione con menù medio ci vogliono 10 Euro a persona che dovrei aggiungere al prezzo delle camere, capita che qualcuno consuma per pochi Euro andando a pagare sempre lo stesso importo al bar. Altro problema il bar effettua anche delle chiusure e segue degli orari che spesso non coincidono con le nostre esigenze. Per questo motivo forniamo in camera gratuitamente 2 bottiglie di acqua da 1 l. a persona, il bollitore con tisane e la macchina del caffè, per dar modo a chi deve partire presto o chi arriva tardi di avere un'autonomia nella camera. Matera ist schon ein Erlebnis, aber auch diese Unterkunft mitten in den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Exceptional service

Mikela provides amazing service to his guests. We drove around for two hours trying to locate the area and finally called. Mikela came immediately on his scooter and led us to his B&B. He then guided us to a parking place. The room was very large, clean and well furnished. The location in the Sassi is very good..

とても親切なオーナーのおかげで、帰りの電車の手配や、素敵なレストランの予約も出来て、快適でスムーズな滞在になりました。部屋の窓を開けると洞窟教会が真正面に見えて、景観も最高で、ロケーションもとても便利でした。またマテーラに来たらここに泊まりたいです。 Thanks to the very kind owner, we were able to arrange a return train and make a reservation for a nice restaurant, making it a comfortable and smooth stay. When we opened the window of the room, we could see the cave church directly in front, the view was great and the location was very convenient. I want to stay here again when I come to Matera.

It was the perfect place to stay in the town, with a wonderful view from the bedroom. For cleanliness and comfort it was 5/5. The owner was extremely kind picking us up in the town when we arrived late in the evening following a flight delay. The town is quite magical and well worth the visit, I would be very happy to stay here again.

The property was uniquely located right in the heart of the old part of Matera. It was furnished in a traditional style which felt in keeping with the historic centre. The accommodation was both comfortable and clean and the host Michaeli was very helpful and informative.
