The best that's available

The Marseille Provence Airport is in the middle of nowhere. The Best Western there also seems isolated but is clean, has helpful staff, and is close to the airport. Be aware, however, that the hotel "restaurant" is basically just a snack bar.

The proximity to the airport is the key reason for me to choose this hotel. Since our flight was the first out of MRS at 6:30 in the morning, I was considering the need to arrive at the airport 2-3 hours ahead of departure dragging the luggage on foot. We scouted out a pedestrian path, about 100m long, properly asphalted, from the opposite curb right in front of the hotel that led up to a small gate into the airport parking lot, very walkable with suitcases in tow and within 10 minutes to the terminal. We did not have to walk though as the first hotel's shuttle conveniently showed up at 4:30am. The basic room was very decent. Only one bottle of shampoo/soap in the bathroom though, more than adequate for me but did not meet my wife expectation ;). We did not have time to fully check out the other amenities (hence the 3 stars in this section = neutral opinion). I believe there is a restaurant onsite that serve dinner and breakfast. The corridor leading to our room has a sliding door that is key card controlled that adds somewhat a good sense of security. The parking lot had plenty of available space but we returned the car the previous afternoon to have one fewer thing to worry about in the morning. All in all, good stay experience !
