"I couldn’t recommend Zarco B&B enough! I stayed for a solo trip and it was perfect. The location is amazing - right on the marina waterfront in close proximity to shops, bars, restaurants - and taxis/tours are very happy to pick you up right outside. I felt very safe at all times and the 24 hour reception really helped with this (you can come and go as you please at any time). "Excellent Hotel. Very friendly staff. Very easy access to downtown. Took us 10 minutes to walk to downtown cable car site. If you need any supermarket items, the mall is right downstairs and there is a nice supermarket there also. There is filtered water on every floor in a machine.The breakfast is also excellent. "Due to glitch in the reservation system, the hotel was overbook. We were transported by hotel's shuttle to their other property Hotel Quinta Mirabella. Beautiful hotel with excellent views. Every was perfect there.Little bit further from the centre of Funchal, but the hotel provided the shuttle few times per day. There was also bus stop around the corner - very convenient ."
