"The hotel was exceptional. We loved the experience. The gym, the pool, views, balcony, and the ability to walk into town so quickly. We loved our experience and would highly recommend it to anyone. We had a toddler and had a fantastic time (for those travelling with young kids!)"

"The main part of the hotel is loaded in the 16th century Palace. There were no heirs when the last owner died. He left it to the city and they’ve added two extensions to the palace, which are wonderful views all with balconies… there were only 88 rooms in this hotel. It looks like there could be 300 but they did it so everyone has a balcony and could look out.!!! the staff were great!! Jessica and Caterina especially. The check-in was quick. I asked for an upgrade it happened the next day…....

"This location is absolutely the best. You are right in the middle of everything you want to see in Sintra. The staff was amazing!! Super helpful and honest. Our room was beautiful with a balcony view you will swoon over. I will say the bed was too tough for me but my husband loved it. It’s not enough to complain either way. The hotel also helped book our transportation from Lisbon, so that was easy and efficient. Highly, highly suggest staying here. It’s nice to have a bed (and a bar) close...

"Very comfortable bedrooms and lovely public areas - several sitting rooms/areas all very nicely decorated and furnished.
Bathrooms need updating, but are solid and clean.
Fawlty Towers type staff and operation of hotel. But it was so comfortable we didn’t mind. We booked a superior double room.
Excellent location, Historical hotel. We’d stay again."
