"Front desk staff were lovely. Great location central to everything. The room could have been cleaner, our bath was full of someone else’s hair. The elevators run on a computer system that make riding the elevator a nuisance. You select your floor on a screen and it directs you to a specific elevator but doesn’t equate for 10 other people and their luggage so if the one it assigns you is full, you have to go back and start again. Sometimes took us 3 rounds until we got on the elevator to our floor."

"POD Times Square was a perfect place for me. The front desk staff was very helpful and even upgraded my room for free! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They offer private drivers to the airport for a fee, the also offer free guided tours throughout the week. The bar was cute and comfortable. They have pastries and some food items available for purchase I think they also offered breakfast but I didn't try it. My only small complaint was that the hallway to my room was pretty dark. I felt a little insecure walking the hall. I would definitely stay at POD Times Square again."

"Stayed here for my birthday trip to New York, it was my mom and I. We got a high room with a pretty great city view (got an upgrade paid for). Very clean, nice, has an old time charm to it. Felt a little dated but thats the point, very art deco. Within a great walking distance to many things and was very comfortable. We didnt stay a long time in the room because we were doing other things but very nice when we were in there. I used to gym and it took some tries because the door key wasn't working, the staff were helpful but they could definitely try and get some new keys that work. Overall, very great experience!"

Empire Hotel

2/10 Terrible

"Hotel is in disrepair and beds are uncomfortable. When showed the front desk that I was staying there for a week and that there was no way to access the bathroom sink due to a pillar right in front of it they moved me but reluctantly. The sound proofing is also bad. Both weekends I was there I tried to get food on the roof and told I needed to wait several hours for reservations due to private events. They should have at least some tables opened for paying hotel guests. "
