"The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. There is no parking-- that's just how Cinque Terre is, so it's not the fault of the hotel. The only real complaint we had was that we paid for our clothes to be washed and got them right before departing. They were still damp and were going to smell like mildew before...

"This room is very comfortable and modern with an amazing ocean view of Manarola and the Ligurian sea. The balcony provided an extremely enjoyable experience for viewing the Cinque Terre coast. Would definitely recommend for anyone that isn’t adverse to climbing long stairways and steep sidewalks - but that’s the basic nature of CT anyway. The only negative was the inability to check in a little early because we arrived in a downpour. But otherwise a great home base from which to enjoy the charm...

However it's right on top of the hill. finding the address is not easy as the entrance is in a narrow back alley, it is a sharp uphill and the place has a tight stairs that are not suitable for heavy luggage. "We had a wonderful stay at Arpaiu – Odeyo Sas in Manarola. Our room was charming, clean, and minimalist, with a window overlooking the south side of the marina from high above the village. One of our favorite memories was sleeping with the window open and listening to the waves crash against the rocks below—it was incredibly peaceful and almost meditative. Upstairs, there is a comfortable common area with Nespresso available 24/7 and an awesome outdoor deck with spectacular views of the cliffs and coastline. One important tip: pay close attention to the owner’s directions when arriving from the train tunnel! There is a much easier ramp leading up to the hotel. We saw other guests following Google Maps and struggling up the stairs with their luggage—not a fun way to arrive! Tatyana, the house staff, was wonderful. She prepared a delicious breakfast for us on our first morning and even took care of our dirty laundry for a very reasonable fee, which was especially appreciated while traveling. The location is also very convenient for quickly accessing the train and exploring the other Cinque Terre villages. Overall, Arpaiu was a wonderful and memorable stay. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Manarola."
