"The manager was friendly and very helpful, and we appreciated the included breakfast! Our room was clean and included a fridge, microwave and coffee/coffee maker. Unfortunately the restaurant, which we'd heard many good things about, was closed the evening we had planned to go. It was not an issue for us but prospective guests should know there are several stairs and no elevator, and the facility is dated and worn - but clean!"

"We actually booked a room at the sportsman inn and they put at the McLane inn? It was not the same room that we booked on Expedia."

"Nice location, right on the harbour. My only complaint is the complimentary breakfast situation. A voucher is issued for the Cantina next door. A simple breakfast took 1 ½ hrs to arrive at the table, 3 mornings in a row. Good thing we didn't have to be anywhere at a specific time."

"The Pioneer Inn is an older property which appears from the outside to have seen better days. However the friendly new owners are upgrading the interior. Our room was spacious & the beds were lovely. The floors were redone with new flooring , bathrooms vanity. etc. The restaurant which is run by the hotel owners has delicious Asian food. I enjoyed the beautifully presented tempura."
