"Beautiful accommodation and lovely chatty staff, I felt right at home to make myself a tea or coffee in the common area. The shared bathroom was spotless (and only shared with one other suite). Just a walk away from the village and castle grounds. I would stay there again and recommend to anyone."

"My 20 year old son and I stayed for 3 nights in February 2026 and had a wonderful time. We arrived before 5 am (on a bank holiday, which we didn't know about since we don't celebrate 2/2 like that in the US) and the gentlemen at the front desk were so helpful. They stored our luggage since check was at 4 pm and then helped us locate a car park. Many were closed due to the holiday. (Note: We left our car at Grafton Car Park for 3 days and ended up paying a fortune! On the Expedia listing it says...

"After arriving at the hotel we left right away to head out for dinner. After coming back to the room around 10:30 we noticed the TV would not turn on nor did any of our outlets work. We phoned the front desk and a worker came around 11pm. They could not get the outlets or tv to work either. At 12pm we finally had to move rooms (as we had to have working outlets to charge our phones.) However, the only room left was by the elevator. This room was not bad at all, very clean. "Great staff, easy check in, breakfast is daily from 7:30 to 10:30. Highey recommend. Bus stops very close by for those who don't have a rental car. Bus 130 takes you straight into central Dublin! Perfect experience all around for Clontarf Castle and the staff"

"It's a beautiful hotel and the dinner we had at the restaurant was excellent. We were also very happy with the shuttle service to and from the airport. However, for the price we paid, I expected air conditioning in our room, or at least a circulating fan to use. The one window opened only a sliver and it got pretty stuffy in our room fairly quickly. That was during May; I can't imagine what it would be like during a summer heat wave."

"We stayed at The Lucan Spa two different days during our trip as we were driving through Ireland and it was not too far from the airport. I can’t say enough about the staff - we arrived early and we were able to leave our luggage there with no problem. I injured myself and they were genuinely concerned and extremely helpful.
