"My ENTIRE experience at this property was 10 STARS !! I traveled solo for my birthday. I arrived at the property before 11 am. Pippy did not hesitate to allow me to checkin and gain access to my room immediately!! I was also greeted at checkin by Tony (front desk Manager) who presented me with this gorgeous Thai arrangement from which he pulled a bracket, informed me of the Thai tradition and blessing then tied it on my wrist! On my actual birthday, the staff surprised me at my room singing Happy Birthday with cake and candle! I was SPEECHLESS!! I was traveling solo but I definitely did not feel alone! The entire team felt like life-long friends! Everyone was extremely nice and pleasant at every single encounter! I will absolutely return to this property. I encourage anyone to treat yourself to experience this perfect oasis in Chiang Rai. You will not regret it."
The Legend Chiang Rai Boutique River Resort and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Everything at the Hotel was awesome, it is beautiful and clean and all of the staff "Excluding 1" was friendly, professional and made us feel so happy and welcome.
The only staff member that made my wife and I feel uncomfortable was the Hotel Manager. He made my wife feel very uncomfortable by the way he would just stand at the end of our breakfast table staring at her, asking some very intrusive questions in which I had to say several times as polite as possible that we would like to continue eating and then he reached across the table "reaching over our plates of food to pick up a dirty napkin. A napkin that he could have just left where it was since we were still eating. When we were done eating, I had to ask another staff member who he was thinking he was a bus boy or something like that. I was shocked to hear he was the hotel manager, It wasn't until my 2nd stay in 2 months that he did it once again, with the same weird stares, the weird conversations that I had to inform the front desk that my wife and I were not happy with him or his strange demeanor. Hopefully he will retire soon because I would love to come back because everyone was awesome and yes, they remembered my wife and I which was awesome, but please tell him not to hover over the female guests."
"The staff was super friendly and helpful. The Captain was charming and witty and we loved her company! They all made our stay feel personal and warm. The food was amazing and all the beautiful little details in the rooms and around the resort made the stay feel very authentic and special. I would highly recommend a stay here. It was fantastic and I hope to be back!"
