"the night before i stayed at an expedia super 8 hotel, which was a disgusting hole. the hamilton was a breath of fresh air. walking in the front door was a welcoming staff, it backed up on the same shore, the building is a little dated, but, very well maintained. the room was clean, neat, comfortable. I don't travel much, I understand most are franchises, I'll never look at another Super 8 again. Mackinac City, was a very nice experience,,,, thank you Hamilton"
"The staff was very friendly and nice. We got in late. In the morning we looked out our balcony and a loon was singing and the pool and lake were right there. Beautiful views. The beds were comfortable. The carpets and room could use a cleaning, but the beds were clean."

"I didn’t even realise this was a motel until the desk clears mentioned it at checkout. I typically choose hotels with free breakfast, but due to the popular and overpriced location, I went for this accommodation. I would absolutely stay here again, and have no problem recommending it. Bakery options around the corner conpensate for no breakfast. Clean, simple rooms."
"No breakfast options other than granola bars. However, there are many restaurants very close by. Good location, close to everything. We had a minor problem with the room that the hotel staff resolved quickly. Note that the free wifi at the hotel is not secure, but cell signal was good. No microwave in the room, and the fridge did not have much space. But room was huge. Loved the log cabin decor."
