Luang prabang is a small town itself, the guesthouse is at walkable distance to most of the attractions. very small room and there is no room cleaning nor replacement of portable water in our 4 days staying. breakfast is just acceptable. should have better selections in this price range.

Pleasant staff and convenient location

Friendly staff. Rooms are on the small side, but clean. Walls are thin. Thankfully, the area is quiet. The guest house is conveniently located near the Mekong River and to popular areas of interest.

A secret jem

We really enjoyed staying at this guesthouse, we even extended our stay. The hotel is on a quiet alleyway so it’s peaceful but it’s only a 3 minute walk into the centre of town and the night market. The rooms are small but they all have either a patio or balcony area. But the main reason we enjoyed our stay so much was the friendly helpful staff. When our 5.30am pre-booked (pre-paid as part of our bus ticket) tuk tuk to the bus station didn’t arrive the receptionist called the agency and manage to get us the pre-paid ride to the bus station, in the end we arrived just in time for our 6.30am bus. Without the help and precipitance of the guesthouse staff we would have missed our bus to Vietnam.

It’s a pleasure to stay at Y Not Lao Guesthouse. The place was clean with good wifi, A/C & water supply to suit the hot weather. Mike was a nice & kind host that given us free lift upon arrival & our departure. Kudos to his hospitality & warmth :)

Very friendly staff! Perfect location. Rooms is nice, bed is very comfortable. But the soundproofing is a real issue. We could hear way too well guests from other rooms, the snoring, the walking, the speaking. Perfect place for guests with deep sleep.

Pleasant and kind staff. Located near the Night Market, Main Street which has several money changers. Simple but filling breakfast spread. Owner speaks English which made it super easy to communicate. Airport pick up and drop off available, pls inform the hotel staff before hand. Rooms were cosy and simple. Would definitely come back and highly recommended. Walking distance to wide selection of restaurants. Halal restaurants avaible along the same area as well. Restaurants overlook the Mekong river. Don’t miss out on sunset and sunrise.

A really nice guesthouse! Staff were really friendly and breakfast was insane! The breakfast supplied could easily warrant paying more in our opinion! Room was clean and had a really good shower! Only critism is the noise! Walls are pretty thin so you can hear other travellers coming and going! This would not put us off booking this place again however! Highly recommend! Note: make sure to download the way to this guesthpuse as because it has changed name recently not many tuktuk drivers know where it is haha!

Close to town and a number of lovely cafes and restaurants. It’s also close to where you get the ferry and the temples. The room for 2 people is very cozy! There’s not a lot of space to do much else after the luggage goes in but it had aircon, tv and was down a side street so quiet st night. Staff are really friendly and happy to chat and help. Breakfast is basic American breakfast. Would have liked an Asian option.

이름 때문에 헷갈렸지만 아주 만족했습니다

예약을 하고 구글지도에 자동으로 등록이 되어 찾아갔는데 'Y not lao guesthouse'가 아닌 'Y not laos hostel'로 등록이 되었습니다 (뒤에 붙는 명칭 이외에 lao와 laos의 차이가 있습니다) 원래 기존에 pakhouay guesthouse에서 이름이 바뀌었는데 제대로 연결이 안되었더라고요. 그래서 찾는데 시간이 좀 걸렸습니다. 안타깝게도 한글로는 '이 놋 라오'... 'Y not'을 '이 놋'으로 표시하는 바람에 헷갈렸네요 밤에 도착하다보니 당황해서 그런 듯 합니다. 아직 간판이 제대로 되어있지 않아서 찾기도 헷갈렸는데 그래도 사장님이 좋으셔서 머무르는 2박3일 동안 편안하게 즐기다가 갔습니다. 항상 미소로 대하셔서 기분이 좋았습니다. 마지막에 공항으로 가면서 샌딩서비스를 신청했는데 사장님이 자신의 차량으로 데려다주더라고요 가면서 더 많은 이야기를 나누었는데 그래서 더 마무리가 좋은 여행이 되었습니다. 야시장하고 거리도 가깝고 깔끔하니 꼭 한국 숙소를 찾는 경우가 아니면 한번 들러주세요
