This was my first time in Laos and this hotel was great in a great location being ~ 1 minute walk to the Mekong. The staff were super friendly and ready to help, the breakfast was great with local foods and with a fantastic view of the Mekong. The hotel was lovely with wooden floors and walls.

The location was excellent, the staff were very good. The room was average. Bed was old and hard. Its an inexpensive stay and you cant expect too much but the room served our needs for three nights. We had a little incident where our bathroom door became jammed. Management was contacted by the hotel staff and they wanted us to pay for a locksmith. That was very unprofessional and left a bad taste in my mouth so I personally wouldn't stay here again.

The staff was very friendly, the bathroom rooms need some repairs and modernisation, not all rooms are equally equipped and there were were cockroaches in two of the 8 rooms booked by our family.

Not so good

This is only my opinion based upon my observations while spending a week at this hotel. We booked a “Luxury double room” based upon the pictures presented on the website. 90% of the pics show that the rooms are bright with windows that open to the outside. We were put into a room which is situated in the middle of the hotel. Our windows opened to the hallways only. The hallways are lit during the night and because our curtains were not blackout curtains, light shined through all night.The website states that “Blackout curtains” are provided, but they were not. There are comfortable chairs in the hallway where at the end of a day, guests would congregate and share their experiences or just to surf the web on their devices. Of course this was right outside of our window and we could hear all of the conversations or videos which at times, went into the wee hours of the morning. On our third day there I requested to be moved to another room but the staff was unable to accommodate us. The hotel is situated next to a busy restaurant and from approximately 6:00-10:30 PM the noise from dining room sounds like more of a roar due to the openness of both the restaurant and the hotel. Once again I refer back to the website where it states that the rooms are soundproof, they are not. The Staff were friendly and courteous. If you stay at this hotel and book a Double luxury room, request that you be put into any room except number three.

おもてなしの心がまったく感じられない。 ベッドメイキングの女性は、自分の都合で、掃除等をしたいのか？私の事など全く気にせず、わざと騒がしく廊下や隣りの部屋の掃除をしていた。チェックアウトの日、予定はなしでゆっくりと部屋で過ごしたかったが、私に聞こえる様にwake up と叫んでいた！まったく気分がわるいホテル。もう二度と泊まらないし、ここウランパパーンも、観光客なれしていて、全てがバカ高い。私の知っていたラオスではなかった。唯一の救いは、あまり目立たない路地裏のラオス食堂が、私のお腹と舌と心を和ませてくれた！これから首都ビェンチェンに向かうが、もう二度とラオスには行かないと心に決めている。
