Mountain Brook Lodge

"Our room wasn’t quite what I expected, but I can’t honestly say if it was their mistake or mine. It was small but really cute! The manager was extremely helpful and got us a cot right away, since the larger room I thought I’d reserved wasn’t available. But sleeping in the top bunk was really fun! There were restaurants close by which was great."

"My family spent the weekend in Saranac lake. The Ashley turned out to be a nice enough "guest house". They do not a staffed office on site. Check-in, payments, and check-out are handled via texts (which is not very personable). The property is in a very convenient location. Several near-by restaurants, parks and local attractions are in easy walking distance from the Ashley. The property is dated but in good repair. Everything in our rooms was clean and well maintained. The bed was more comfortable that it looked. Only downside for us was that our air conditioner was really noisy (so we turned it off at night and opened a window)."
Cadence Lodge at Whiteface

"This is a very sweet lodge with wonderful owners - Shelly and her husband - and a delicious restaurant. You can bring food to grill yourself or eat at the restaurant on their lovely patio - we did both. The complementary breakfast on Saturday and Sundays is lovely as well. The lodge was originally built in the 60s and the rooms are a bit tight but they work!"
