"I liked the historical ambiance. However we were never informed about the road construction that would be going on outside our window Wed and Thurs morning. Parking was terrible. Then on Fri morning there were street sweepers and garbage trucks. Never quiet and peaceful! Our friends spent more money and stayed in a cottage and said it was adequate. They enjoyed the spaciousness and the best part is the garden in the back. Wouldn't go again."

"We booked the 2 bedroom suite for 4 people and it was very spacious for all of us. It was also extremely convenient that both bedrooms had their own full bathroom! It was walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and we never needed to drive anywhere in town. There’s a coffee maker in the room but the office also has a keurig and hot water for tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. There is no common area between the bedrooms but we didn’t mind. "The room wasn't very spacious, but it was clean, I like that the flooring wasn't carpet. Beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful, quiet and respectful. There is a large shopping center accross the street (which we only discovered on our last day, unfortunatly), Hotel conveniently located close to Carmel and Monterey. Comparing location, availability and rates with other nearby hotels, I'd stay there again when visiting the area."
