"The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. "The hotel was a good alternative to Travelodge. Reception was quick and friendly. Room was compact but comfortable with a large screen television. Beds firm but comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good but continental breakfast was limited. Sausages on cooked breakfast were awful. The whole hotel was unnecessarily cold, wasting energy and uncomfortable. Reception and bar staff were helpful and friendly but again the bar was limited, some cocktails would have been nice. Would not hesitate to use again."

"It was a very lovely stay, we loved it, hotel had an amazing vibe and good selection of food and drinks, the food was overpriced for what it was but it was still very nice. The drinks were very overpriced but its york so you have to expect that, its in a really good location close to the centre, the air-conditioning was either broken or not working correctly in our room but other than that it was an amazing time and would definitely go again."
