Staff were amazing. Reception very helpful. They got a fan for my room as I was having trouble sleeping. The dining room was beautiful and Ryan was our amazing and charming server.

The hotel is beautiful. It was renovated about 5 years ago but it is still fully carpeted, which wasn’t the best. Also, our room was on the top floor and did not have a functioning window. The room was extremely hot and no a/c.

Beautiful place to stay with outside terrace and bar. The spa was lovely, although the pool a little cold The bar and terrace was closed the second night we were there for a private function, disappointed we wouldn’t use it and no other provision was made for residents to have a drink. There is a large restaurant area and some of this could have been used.

Great location and room. Gorgeous view from the room and the balcony facing city center. We enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna. Their restaurant was excellent. Was a wonderful experience.

Excellent overall stay but no soap in reception ladies toilet. Also no soap in room bathroom although there were 2 hand lotion bottles, (possible misunderstanding).

Good hotel in lovely town.

2 night stay. Loches is a wonderful town. Hotel is very clean and front desk service excellent. Room was very clean and well equipped. Did not have breakfast but did have evening meals in the restaurant. Food very good if a bit pricey. Only 4 stars as service on last night in bar and restaurant was very slow and staff were seemingly disorganised. Rooms pricey as not including breakfast but a good base to stay.

The hotel is lovely. In a perfect setting. Very let down by its breakfast. Nothing was available. We waited for 20 minutes before giving up. The restaurant in the evening is nice but they could do with some other dinning options as very upper tier food perhaps offer a bar menu

A gem in Loches

Fantastic location in there heart of the beautiful small town of Loches, with views towards the Royal Citadel. Our room had a huge balcony with the same fantastic view as from the main terrace, perfect for a late in-room breakfast. Modern decor inside a beautifully restored 19th Century building. We purchased our tickets for the visit at the hotel and walked to the site. We had diner outside on the terrace, very good cuisine, service is a but junior and not all are English speakers. I am always hesitant when I see "Best Western" in front of a hotel in France, but now I understand the "Premier" brand. 100% recommend.

Great location in the centre of Loches. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. We had a "Standard Room, queen bed" which transpired to be on the 2nd floor under the roof. Things to Note: 1. There may not be a fridge in the room (ours was too small to allow, but cant tell if this was true for all rooms). 2. You may be allocated a room on 2nd floor which is under the roof and may contain interesting wood beams but will only have a velux window and no view. 3. The Parking offered is in the public square outside the hotel. Spaces are free but cannot be guaranteed.

Wonderful hotel in restored historic building

Magnificent sympathetically recently restored former Palais de Justice insuperb setting in the beautiful historic city of Loches. The room, the breakfast and particularly the staff were of the highest quality. The only negative was the evening meal. A very limited menu, with main course comprising a tiny parcel of pork with 3 different types of courgette!! Not the most interesting vegetable and cooking it three different ways did not inmo improve this. In addition, the wine was poorly served, again inmo! I ordered a Vouvray to start with and a Chirouble to accompany the main course. I had not finished the white wine when the wine waiter (manager?) poured the red wine into the same glass! even though there was white wine unfinished. A disappointing meal but this did not detract from our stay in this most impressive hotel. Word of advice, we would recommend L’Entract and The Hotel de France for diner.- both excellent

I booked this hotel largely on the reviews on here. It looks great when you arrive- a lovely new car park (although when we arrived at 7pm on a Friday evening it was full - we were just lucky to find a space as someone left). Big problem at checkin in that we had booked a superior room with balcony but there was apparently a problem with communication between hotels.com and the hotel and we were allocated the most basic of rooms. The hotel was almost fully booked and our choice of room could not be honoured - we were ‘upgraded’ to a family room but this was a ground floor room and we had no use for the children’s room. I asked for compensation and was told that was not possible because we had been ‘upgraded’. The room was nice enough but the linens felt mostly polyester and the air conditioning was inadequate - we had a fairly uncomfortable night. On the plus side the room was actually very quiet and on its own on the opposite of the stairwell to the other rooms. Best thing is location as the town is pretty but we would not return for the reasons mentioned.
