"Despite politely requesting a room with a view before I arrived I was given the first floor overlooking the road :-( used the bar for a drink and it has a good atmosphere and music, my main complaint of the room was lack of good lighting and no mirrors that had a plug point nearby so it was difficult to get ready for the party I was attending. Didn’t make it to breakfast so can’t comment on that"

"Great place to stay, excellent for Lime Street no more than 2 minutes away, staff great facilities good. A few things of concern not that it would not stop me booking again is 1 ply toilet rolls not great as it's not a budget hotel, also the radiators are clanking all night certainly on the room we had on 6 th floor, very annoying which affects your sleep, also the ceramic tiles in my bathroom were all lose and moved when you walked on them However bedrooms great extremely comfortable large beds and generally a great stay, would have no problem re booking this hotel but next time I would check out the things that required doing."

"The hotel its self is very grand and impressive. Parking is limited but there’s another car park literally over the road. Check-in was easy although a little noisy. It’s hard not to be impressed with such an amazing historical building. The room was absolutely massive. Bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Great choice of fresh pastry’s and the hot selection was of really good quality. Would definitely like to rerun again. "

"Parking is not on site - it’s a good 5. Minute walk away at the NCP parking. I opted for a closer one and paid the little more. The American sounding receptionist is useless and isn’t interested in helping or has any knowledge of the city. Room is adequate. No tea coffee or kettle in room"
