  • I took this in March in Sintra, Portugal! It's at the fairy tale castle Pena Palace :). This is one of the lovely close-up views. It's is a Romanticist castle that stands on the top of a hill in the Sintra Mountains. And undoubtedly one of the most iconic places in Portugal. And a dream come true to visit it! It is a national monument and constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. The 2nd oldest Chalet in Portugal with so much charm. Staff is attentive and the property is clean and well maintained. Great location away from all the crowds yet close enough to everything. Midway between the city center and the beach Praia Grande..will definitely go back.

Amazing place to stay! The rooms are beautiful, actually the whole place is! The beds are probably the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in. Its all the little details that make this place so incredible. The artwork, the decor, the homemade breakfasts. The owners and staff were super nice! The vila is in the small town of Colares and is a short drive into Sintra. We wanted to stay near Sintra, but wanted to avoid the crowds and Vila Vitorino was perfect! Great price for what you get, if we ever come back to Portugal, we will definitely stay here again. Loved it!!

That is a beautiful property! The bedroom is so nice and the bedsheets were the most comfortable thing. The breakfast was also great. Vitorino is a very welcoming host.

Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was very nice. The room was very small and only 3 stars because we had an issue with ants in our room. Not just a couple, we woke up to our bags, clothes, bed being covered with ants. We went to the front desk but was told there was nothing they could do. We had to completely unpack and shake everything out into the shower and wash the ants down. Mind you we were finding ants for 2 days. It was by far the most bizarre part of our trip.

Great breakfast we had just left Hilton Porto Hilton can learn how to serve a continental breakfast from Vila Vitorino! Parking was great a smaller space but large compared to some of the other property in Sintra.

Beautiful property, delicious breakfast and wonderful hosts. We are looking forward to coming back and staying at Vila Vitorino at the end of our trip before we fly home. Great location and just an Uber away to anywhere you need to go. Highly recommend the restaurant that was recommended to us by the hosts - Moinho Dom Quixote - the view and food were incredible.

This is a beautiful place. Our room was spacious and comfortable. It was behind a wall and after some initial worry about how to get in we saw a doorbell to ring. The staff is friendly and welcoming and he even brought drinks to our room for us as we were exhausted after bicycling in from Lisbon. Our quad room was plenty of space for our group.

Unique design and style, amazing breakfast ( freshly baked goods). Rooms are phenomenal. Area is ok. But you can drive 15-20 min and find restaurants. You have to have a car otherwise there is nothing around it. Parking is on the street.

A sweet little treasure.

This is a lovely little boutique hotel in a pretty, small town close enough for all the attractions of Sintra but far enough away that it is not swarming with tourists. The hosts are very kind and helpful. The beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. There is a spotless swimming pool in a handkerchief sized garden full of beautiful flowers. The breakfast is delicious. Highly recommend! Just be aware that you will have to arrange your arrival time so someone can let you into the gated property. There is a little bell that is not immediately obvious to the left of the gate.
