Disliked: Cleanliness, communication, listing accuracy
Was it terrible? No. Was it great? Also no. First, the good; the location was good and near where we needed it to be. Lots of good restaurants nearby and public transit. Now, the bad.
The place appeared good, clean modern and remodeled, and it was remodeled and modern, in photos and at first glance. Unfortunately, it was dirty, very poorly cleaned and had many issues that need repair. The worst, the AC was leaking the entire time (and also very dirty inside, black dust inside) we let the host know, no response. I spend 3 days making sure it wouldn’t drip on the ground and dumping a bucket full of water! The shower was full of black mold. We kept the window open at all times. The couch cover was filthy, old and torn. The walls and doors all had hand prints and had clearly never been cleaned (gross) the bed had no mattress cover or sheet, only a flat sheet thrown over. Basically everything looked good from afar and maybe was nice 5 years ago, but was now old, very cheap quality and needed to be repaired or changed. Think ikea on its way out. We didn’t get any communication from true host and reached out several times to point out the ac leak. Again, it was affordable and convenient for us. Not terrible, but not great. If the host addresses these issues it would have been wonderful- unfortunately the place needs a refresh and a good cleaning.
