Great place but really noisy

Place was clean and tidy and nothing to fault with the accomodation at all but it’s really noisy from the bars and clubs until at least 2am - if you aren’t one of them this isn’t the place for you. Then glass collections and street cleaners start every morning at 7am which also noisy

The apartment is very close to the city centre so there's loads near by. Easy access to everything. It's very comfortable and has everything you need. But... You are right in the middle of an area popular for night life. With LOADS of bars that stay open very late playing load music (i.e. to 3am) AND this attracts other residents who are there to go out to get very drunk, so don't expect any quiet nights. If you want to make the most of the night life, you may not mind any of that. But if you're hoping to get some sleep cos you were hoping for an early start one day, this may not be the best choice...

Good value

This property is located right in the middle of the Barrio Alto bars. It gets a little noisy but that didn’t really matter to me. The studio I rented was a nice size and had everything I needed for the weekend. The apartment could do with a bit of a makeover, but it’s excellent value and the staff were very nice. I will definitely stay here again

We loved our stay! It’s in the center of the party at night. It’s also near cafes and restaurants. Host responded quickly when we texted and emailed them. The apartment has a huge nice balcony.

YOUROPO - Clérigos 1/5 Terrible Do not stay here, there are so many other options in Lisbon and the area that are the same cost and way better. Though we did like the size of the apartment.. the apartment itself was disgusting. The whole shower has mold around the rim and the walls in the bathroom look like they have never seen a clean. The shower head was also laughable and sprayed everywhere while the handheld didn’t work. The hair dryer also was broken. The whole building smells like stale dirty laundry. The bed is like sleeping on the floor and they give the two smallest/thin pillows and blanket. There was extra pillows and blankets in the closet, but they smelt like they either were used or haven’t been washed in years. It was also very loud being on the main bar street, though I don’t blame the property on this, but just be aware if you don’t like bass blaring till 2/3am.

There’s better properties

This is a pretty rough property. The manager accessed our room and organised maintenance during our stay, and access the room even though we asked her not to. This was for an issue which she knew about prior to our arrival (although she didn’t think to mention any planned works on checkin?). It all felt a bit sus. The hotel is noisy even early in the week.

Overall would have been a decent place to stay for the price, however the deluxe apartment #1 had an overwhelming sewage smell from the bathroom pipes due to the location. We did ask about it, and were advised that nothing could be done as it is due to the river being high and the old plumbing in that area. We ended up checking out after one night as the smell was so intense. There was good communication from the owner/property manager but unfortunately as it was a non-refundable property we were out the amount for the other four nights we paid for.

This property has great reviews so I was surprised when I got there. Location is great, but other than that I was not impressed. There was a spider in the bedroom right when we got in. The bathroom smelled musky. Both AC units you could not change the temperature. It was set to 25 Celsius and you could not increase or decrease. I knew this was in a party area so I was expecting it to be loud but just so other people know, you can hear the music from the bars until they close around 2am and then you hear people coming into the building. I must admit that communication with the property was amazing and that was the only perk. I would not stay here again, especially for the price.

For my best friends 50th birthday, I booked this room promoted and propped up by this website. All communication with the property was through what’s app. Communication prior to arrival was good. Showed up, met a contact, walked up to the 4th floor. Room smelled musty but seemed fine overall. Contact opened the balcony door immediately let the fresh air in, while pointing out each of the things that were broken that needed a special or certain turn or shake to work. The contact had a lot of nervous energy as she removed a pile of soaking rags from the shower drain and mopped up a puddle on the floor. She mentioned the bathroom might flood so this mop is here if I need it. The shower had a steady loud drip. When I pointed it out she closed the door and said ‘fixed’ but mentioned the rooms were sold out and if the noise bothered us she would call a plumber the next day. Once she left the room, I investigated at the dripping shower and noticed black mold spots as seen in attached images. We grabbed our bags and booked a room up the street. I messaged the contact, she offered to clean the shower if we wanted to come back but did not offer a refund. I contacted this website, they contacted the property and said they offered another room and I refused. Not only did the contact tell us the rooms were booked prior when she offered a plumber I have the written transcript. Overall why is the gnome approving this room and why doesn’t the gnome have my back? no refund, no accountability

Das Apartement liegt mitten in der Altstadt- nicht weit weg von schönen Plätzen! Leider aber such über lauten Kneipen - die Musik von 20 Uhr bis ca 2.30 nachts spielen. Da hilft leider auch nicht die doppelte Verglasung oder Ohrsttöpsel. Im Apartement ist Alles in der Küche das was mann braucht und auch ein Supermarkt in der Nähe! Es fehlen Haken an der Wand!

A large, well maintained one bedroom apartment with complete kitchen, including oven, and separate air conditioners. Luisa was tremendously helpful when Iberia lost one of our bags and the owner responded quickly to our text messages.

Our suite was fine and had everything that was identified however we had one huge issue and that was the noise from below on the street and the bars along the street. The thumping music ended about 2:00am but hollering and singing of the drunks continued through 4:00am. Terrible sleep. Even though there is a new multi-pannelled balcony window that reduces noise, the decibels outside are high. Recommend asking for a suite on the back-side of the building. We were locked out of the suite at one time and needed to call to let us in. Unfortunately I had turned the door key to the left instead of to the right and the door was double locked. The information sheet in the suite should explain this outcome.

Mouldy bathroom. Broken balcony doors that won't open. DIRTY floor throughout. DIRTY and SMELLY bedding. Great location but sadly in the hands of rogue investors that won't care for the property. Overall very disappointing stay.

Fun for four days

We stayed for 4 nights and had a great time. The neighborhood is very lively at night with bars, fado, restaurants. It's definitely better for young people, but you'll enjoy it either way.
