"Fraoch House is a sweet place. It's older and has charm. Matthew the host was solicitous and eager to please. We had breakfast one morning and it was excellent. Our room was adequate. Lack of a plug convenient to one side of the.bed and.odd chairs that tipped over when we sat in them were drawbacks. The location was a disappointment. "The staff are very friendly. The rooms are airy and large. The shower is a bit of a mission to get into. The paint on the cupboard and side table is chipped and needs to be touched up. Windows open to allow fresh air as the room gets stuffy when the heaters are on. Breakfast is served quickly and the breakfast room is nicely laid out. Location is great to walk around Edinburgh."

There were nice and accommodating I highly recommend it.. Also, they allowed us to leave out luggages for awhile after our check out time to enjoy the rest of the day. "

They were even kind enough to bring a mini fridge up to our room at the last minute to accomodate all the supermarket meal deals we bought :D There were a few wobbly bits in the bathroom like the shower pole and the tap, but everything still works. The beds were immaculate and super comfortable. The location is also really great, only a 20 minute walk to the beach front and Portobello village...
