"The property itself is beautiful clearly been decorated professionally by a designer. However there is no WiFi and very poor mobile reception resulting in no means of using your mobile in addition there are no Televisions in the rooms or in the communal area so entertainment is very limited. "Accommodation is in little semi detached cottages in the gardens, which is very charming Bed very comfortable, breakfast very good and evening meal fine Only downside was having to use a tablet to read the restaurant carte. Fine for those aged 15 and under but at my age these things get difficult Heater in the bathroom was a bit rusty, which took the edge off a gorgeously refurbished hotel We shall visit again,now that I know to head for Pontabault rather than Val St Pere"

"We were in the top floor room for a night and it was SO COOL. 12/10 recommend staying on the Island if you can swing it. Yes, the morning provision drop was loud but the peaceful night time stroll and comraderie of staff as they left the island was special. Such a surreal experience."

This was the mid-way point in our France trip (fantastic location for visiting Mont Saint Michel), and our one peaceful night in between city-center stays. It was amazing in every sense. The grounds and chateau are meticulously kept and just beautiful. The breakfast (made up of items you self-select upon check in) was abundant and delicious. We stayed in the triple room...
