"I would stay there again. The important things were clean, i.e. sheets, sink, bathroom, surfaces, and floor. The price was very good.
There were several dead bugs in the room; but the important thing is that they were all dead. It was a nice room; definitely not in perfect condition. The fridge barely cooled our water and food. The whole mirror could light up like a giant vanity mirror or heat up to defog; cool features.
The hosts we’re making efforts to beautify the grounds with live plants and flowers. Unfortunately, people don’t seem to care about picking up their trash after themselves.
Breakfast was an ok, standard continental breakfast. But, the pancake machine would never make any pancakes properly or worth eating.
If you want clean and affordable, so that you can spend your money on your adventures, this is the place. One thing that I noticed is that most of the people staying there were repeat customers; which is a good sign.
Definitely pet friendly! In fact most of Ft. Davis (including the surrounding towns) was pet friendly; even the courthouse!"
"Beautifully appointed house with 5 en suite guest rooms, common front room and full kitchen.
Never saw any staff, but received texts with explicit instructions for gaining access and checking out. Also received contact information for obtaining help with any problems. We had no problems. Great stay, reasonable cost. Particularly good coffee for brewing in room.
TV had basic cable, but no internet connection for apps, etc.—but we weren’t there to watch tv."
"Had to park on the street and walk across to an upstairs room. I don't do stairs. It was painful and humiliating. Staff would not offer any help. No food or water. No suggestions for where to find food. Worst experience in years."
"Everything with our stay was excellent. The location, privacy, check in and introduction by the staff and morning breakfast all very good.
Thank you,
Steve and Sue"
