"Drumbeg is a tiny town, but we were very pleased with our one-night stay. Owners were very courteous. We had one of the best dinners of our entire trip, alone with great food, great views, and Scottish music playing (everywhere else plays American music). Then we went to the bar for some drinks, good chats, and some pool. We even got a takeout breakfast since we left early. Would gladly stay there again."

"We had an overnight stop at this hotel because we couldnt find accommodation closer to the NC 500 due to inflated cost/availability. The Alnaharra Hotel was very nicely situated although it was well off the beaten track for us. We had the Teal & Blue bedroom which was clean, tidy and nicely decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was extra, but very nice when it eventually arrived having waited an hour for it to be served. I think maybe the hotel was short staffed."

Dinner menu was fantastic and we took up the offer for packed lunches (sandwich, yoghurt, crisps and delicious rocky road) for our continuing NC500 journey which were excellent and very inexpensive. Loved the laid back atmosphere, we felt comfortable and at home. Definitely recommend! "

"House was nice and clean, stocked with some of the basics you like to find (salt& pepper, washing liquids etc). The hosts made contact and offered to light the fire for our arrival which we were grateful for having got rather wet in the morning. We were also able to do a load of laundry before continuing our road trip. "They said the cooker was broken however we feel that they should have had someone to repair it asap. We understood there was no Tv or wifi but in this day and age anything is possible even if you have to raise the price. We were not told about electricity that it was a key meter it was only when an alarm was going off we traced it to electric box to find there was only 50p left on it we put key on and it added another £15 which went nowhere these are very expensive devices.
