This felt like a new hotel, with a very good standard of furniture & fittings. The shower was excellent.
The hotel has plenty of parking but is some way out of town, and thus very quiet."

Hotel is in a brilliant location, quiet so not disturbed in the night but only a 10min walk from the centre.

"Enjoyed our stay, staff was very helpful. My daughter wasn't feeling well and they let us check into one room early so she could lie down. Only a one night stay but very clean, nice location and staff very friendly and helpful. I've also stayed at the Moxy Heathrow which was also an enjoyable experience."

"First and foremost, this is not a five-star accommodation. However, if you’re looking for an hotel with old charm with a beer garden and fantastic staff, this will foot the bill. The beer garden had the best mac & cheese and parsnip soup you’ve ever had in your life. Location is extremely convenient to the train station, York Minster, restaurants, pubs and shopping. They’re not a lot of rooms and there is no elevator. Some doors may not close, and floors may be a little warped, but it is worth...
"Room was beautiful and well decorated for the age of the building. We were on the top floor so be prepared for wonky stairs. Main floor is lively with patrons but noise did not carry - was loud outside with music til 11pm and guests dining but we had our window open to be fair and we did not mind it at all. Bed was comfortable and staff was very helpful - great location beside York Minster and walkability score excellent. Highly recommend! "
"Stayed for one night. The room we got facec the road but it was not noisy. The location was superb because it was walking distance to many tourist places. Many restaurants & shops nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was very limited but no extra charges."
