"Very good location for shopping and tours"

"I was very disappointed staying here. The room was beautiful and clean, but lacked wardrobe space allowing for only a few things to be hung which was not good for our length of stay and very different to all our Japan hotel stays. While they had complimentary drinks at happy hour in the bar this was incredibly limited and didn’t have any beer. In the mini bar which was free for us, they had beer but no wine. We stopped for drinks outside of happy hour and had to walk away.. charging 3700 for a glass while all our other premium wine selections in 5 star hotels had been around 1500-2000 was crazy. The price for breakfast was also the most expensive of our Japan stays and not worth it, we were disappointed by the quality and limited choice for the price. Again, our 5 star hotel stays had excellent buffet breakfasts for much cheaper. The location is far from the Center, although a lovely walk up the river which we enjoyed. The staff did their best to be helpful, but I feel the hotel policies hold them back in providing a better experience. "

"We enjoyed our stay here. It is a bit out of the way but great if you want a quieter location away from the busy city. The hotel garden was a real delight as was the private sauna. It was beautiful to walk along the river and see the trees on the mountain. We loved the Japanese breakfast, the samue clothes and sandals they supply. We ate dinner there one night and it was fine but not outstanding and the price was high for the small portions. It’s worth noting that there are very few affordable eating options walking distance from the hotel. There is a 7/11 with quick eats. And the best way to get there from the city is by taxi. We didn’t like that there were no hooks to hang towels on. And it was strange to not have hand soap in the toilet room to wash your hands properly. The hotel staff were so gracious and responsive. And we loved the daily inari treat, and being able to sit at the bar downstairs for complimentary drinks. A very luxurious hotel. Thank you!"

"Very good location, rooms are a decent size. Only one English speaking TV channel and no in house laundry facilities. Breakfast is excellent"

"Aquí lo tienes corregido y fluido, manteniendo tu estilo: ⸻ This place is great. It might be on the expensive side, and there are plenty of options in Kyoto, but it was worth it. The hotel is quite big but still feels intimate. I loved the onsen, the Westin Club, and the other restaurants and bars. There are also convenience stores and a metro station on site, so it’s very handy. The staff is fantastic — thank you all.
