京都駅から歩いて1キロ足らずで、この時期では桜が満開で眺望は最高でした。 　私以外の宿泊者は全て外国人で少し寂しい思いもしましたが、その分お宿のスタッフの方々が丁寧に対応してくれ、旅の相談にも乗ってくれました。 　入浴施設は共同風呂でしたが、問題なく利用できました。浴衣を着る際の補助等、障害のある私に対しても親切丁寧に応じていただけました。

The staff were very friendly and the room had a nice garden view. The location was nice, about a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station, making it easy to get to all sides of town and see the major sights.

Matsubaya Ryokan is a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station where many food options are available. There is a convenience store in between. We split our time in Kyoto between this ryokan and a modern hotel near Kyoto Station. The modern hotel was wonderful, however, it will in time be blended in with all the other wonderful hotels we've stayed at, while it's unlikely we'll forget the traditional Japanese experience we got at the ryokan. We had a deluxe room with garden view. It was clean and had everything we needed. The futon beds were very comfortable. The only issue we had was that we couldn't turn off the lights at night while keeping the air-conditioning on at the same time. We opted for a Japanese breakfast - booking ahead of time is a must - and we really enjoyed it (we even learned from our host the correct way to eat the rice, namely, wrapping it in the seaweed wraps provided). In short, we recommend this ryokan if you're looking for a traditional Japanese experience in a reasonably-priced ryokan.

Cozy Japanese style rooms with table, futons, water kettle, fridge, Yukata. Excellent host - super warm, welcoming and helpful. Friendly staff. This Ryokan is very convenient to Gion and the Kyoto Station. Bathroom is not large but it's not too small either.

청결했어요 짐만 보관하려고 체크인 시간보다 조금 일찍 갔는데 방 정리 끝났다고 일찍 체크인 해주셔서 편하게 여행했어요 문 다 닫고 자니까 추운지 모르고 잤고, 침구도 깨끗하고 냄새도 안났습니다 직원분들이 영어도 잘하셔서 소통도 불편함없었고 다음에 교토에 숙소를 잡는다면 무조건 여기로 가야겠다 싶은 숙소예요 분위기, 청결, 친절함, 조식까지 모두 완벽히 마음에 들었습니다! 온천은 일정이 빠듯해서 이용하진 않았지만 전반적인 숙소 서비스나 분위기로 봐서는 정해져있는 추가요금 주고라도 온천 이용해보고싶네요 덕분에 꿈같은 교토 여행이었어요 감사합니다❤️ 아, 복도에서 대화하시는 소리는 엄청 잘 들렸는데 다들 조용히 다니셔서 크게 불편하진 않았어요 소음에 예민하신 분들은 참고해주세요

I had the pleasure of staying at Matsubaya with my class a week and a half before my stay with my wife and both times were a true pleasure. The staff there is phenomenal and quite kind. I will definitely return the next time I find myself in the Kansai area.

The tatami room had a strong smell bcoz of the bamboo mats... so you might need to keep the window open all day.. not recommended if you stay during winter or summer coz u can't open window all day... the ryokan said to be opened in 2016 but everything inside is old style... the tv is like the size of my android tablet ... and toilet is old style as well..lol... but overall was ok if you want to try out Japanese ryokan.

Un ryokan très central pour rayonner à Kyoto
Situé dans une rue calme à proximité de la gare et près de la grande artère menant au Palais Impérial, au Château et aux temples principaux, ce ryokan est très agréable, bien que le tarif soit élevé, mais Kyoto est une ville chère, surtout à la période du Sakura ou à la Golden Week. Gentillesse de l'accueil, dans un anglais assez basique mais peu de ryokans ont un personnel parlant l'anglais. Il y a un grand contraste entre les chambres assez impersonnelles et le rez de chaussée typique des maisons japonaises. La salle du petit déjeuner où est servie la formule japonaise avec ses légumes vinaigrés et le petit déjeuner continental à l'occidentale, est très typique et chaleureuse. C'est l'emplacement qui est aussi un atout majeur, très central par rapport aux différentes visites, et sur une ligne de bus et de métro. Restaurants et magasins sont légion entre le ryokan et la gare, et vous n'êtes pas non plus trop loin du quartier typique de Gion, ses maisons de geishas et ses salons de thé traditionnels. Enfin, un très beau jardin public n'est qu'à une encablure. Que demander de plus ?

une belle expérience dans un ryokan de qualité
nous avons passé trois jours 2 nuits dans le ryokan matsubaya, le personnel est très accueillant, l'établissement est très propre, la chambre très confortable, nous avons très bien dormi sur les futons, aucun bruit, le petit déjeuner payant mais pas très copieux mais ne coûte que 4 euros ou 6 euros. le quartier est calme, le métro à 5 minutes, la gare à 10 mn à pied. On recommande vivement.. Merci pour ce bon moment et ce dépaysement. Isabelle et Thierry

Exceptional service
Wonderful showcase of Japanese service. We were given a welcome tour of the hotel and when we came back to check in, they had moved our luggage into the room. Also, guests who do not have their rooms cleaned receive a free gift. One downside is that the room walls are thin.

一人宿泊の部屋は狭かったが、居心地は悪くない。スタッフの笑顔と気遣いが素晴らしい！三十三間堂や東福寺などにも徒歩で行ける。京都駅にも近くで便利だった。外国の宿泊客も多く色んな言語が聞こえた。

住日式房型是不錯的體驗
民宿老闆很親切，退房時還會送你小紀念品，離地鐵五条站及公車站不遠，步行約5分鐘，另外京都車站也在附近，步行約10分鐘內可以抵達。 日式單人房空間不大，但房內有附廁所，至於洗澡部分則須和隔壁房共用衛浴，2人共用一間我覺得是ok的，也有提供一台公用的大冰箱，可以偶爾住日式房型也是不錯的體驗。

地方方便，距離京都塔大約只有十分鐘路程，而且環境安靜，地方整潔。員工非常貼心，服務一流。整體非常好，下次會再來
