Overpriced Property with Very Limited Value

Aurora Camp is a highly overpriced property with very limited facilities available to the international customers. Without your own transport, you will be virtually locked up in the property. Any transfer by the managing company is highly expensive. Just for 5 to 10 km transport, you will end up paying over 500 SEK. There are no restaurant or cafe available at the facility. Reception is always closed. In spite of all the shortcomings, Hotel.com keep advertising this property at an exorbitant high rate There are hardly anyone staying in the property during April/May time frame. However, the property is still advertised as close to full to attract international customers, who my end up paying higher rate, because, they have very little or limited knowledge about the property. In fact, not much information is available on the company web site about the camp and its facilities.

Mysig stuga!

Det är en enkel och mysig camping vid sjön. Sängarna var sköna med rena sängkläder. Vi var där då det var snöstorm och snöade konstant , ökade ca 20 cm snö över en natt men personalen såg att att vi kunde ta oss fram och vägen var plogad.

Utanför Kurravaara

Det behöver uppdateras uppgifter eftersom sevärdheter inte stämmer överens mot notiser som ex att det är 8 min promenad till kyrkan osv. Eftersom detta boende Uddenvägen ligger utanför Kiruna närmare Kurravaara. De resande med tåg, buss har svårt ta sig dit om inte service för hämtning finns. Stugan vi bodde i behövde åtgärdas några saker och det är mögel i just den stuga vi bodde i då mitt sällskap är allergisk mot mögel.Tur att det bara var en natt vi skulle bo där. I övrigt var det renbäddat och lämplig kyl, mysigt med bastu i stugan. Vacker utsikt. Grusvägen till detta boende behöver åtgärdas mycket gropar överallt och guppar med bilen.

Oerhört mysigt boende vid en sjö ute i skogen. Riktigt fräscht invändigt. Parkering på en grusplan en bit upp men fick åka ner med packningen vid incheckning. Servicen från personalen är kanon. Gratis bastu i stugan och externa utomhus. Allt har varit toppen, rekommenderas.

Northern nature experience

This has been one of the best stays ever. We stayed at the Harmony lodge, which is located in a very beautiful peninsula place. Kids as well as us adults loved wood sauna! Premises are clean and comfortable. Huge thanks to the hostess for hospitality, friendliness and amazing experience in northern nature!

Gute Unterkunft für Nordlicht Reisen

Grundsätzlich war der Aufenthalt in Ordnung. Die Wilderness Suite ist ein halbes Blockhaus mit angesetztem Bad und kleiner Sauna. Die Küche besteht aus einem kleinen Ofen, Mikrowelle und zwei Kochplatten oben auf dem Ofen (ca. 160cm hoch). Der Kamin kann genutzt werden, die Unterkunft hat aber auch eine Fußbodenheizung. Leider war der Check-In nicht gut. Es war kein Personal vor Ort, kein Umschlag mit Briefing, gar nichts. Ein Anruf ergab nur: Schlüssel steckt und schönen Aufenthalt. Die Saunen können alle genutzt werden. Wir hatten zwei Abende im September wunderschönes Nordlicht. Gemessem am Preis von 120 Euro pro Nacht lässt der Service zu wünschen übrig.

Perfekt norrskensstuga!

Wow! Vi bodde en natt i den lilla panoramastugan med stort fönster ut mot sjön. Väldigt enkel, men med ”manuell” toalett (som vi inte behövde tömma själva), en dunk vatten, vattenkokare, kaffebryggare och bäddsoffa som man bäddade själv med sängkläder som ingick i stughyran. Perfekt boende för en natt, framförallt om man vill se norrsken. Vilket vi gjorde med råge i mitten av september!

This is a very special location. The cabins are well appointed, the atmosphere is wonderful and it feels like a very private retreat. Wonderful communication and helpful people. I will go back soon

Overpriced

Paper thin walls so you will hear your neighbors talking, snoring and toilet business. Cooking area is dirty, there is no sink (only a tiny mobile home version, in the bathroom), water is not clear, table was sticky, sofa is dirty with brown and red-ish stains all over it. Beds are two 80cm single beds put together, very old madresses. Curtains were cut into smaller pieces so it doesn't cover up the window. You will preferably need an SUV or pick up truck to get through the Rocky, uneven road (10min drive from main road) . The sense of peaceful nature and silence was abrupted. Hiking trail is around 500metres but you could go up the road to go for a walk. Very overpriced for this kind of standard, would not recommend.
