"The overall stay was good the house was very old and beautiful. I only had two problems the first being that the hot water heater didn't work very well and you literally just turned on the hot water knob and didn't have to use the cold at all. It probably got about a hundred degrees. It was impossible to take a bath. The second being the bed was very uncomfortable I ended up leaving early because it ended up hurting my back so bad that I couldn't sleep one night. It's literally like an 8 inch...

"Amazing!"

"The room was very nice and roomy but did have a bit of a musty smell upon arrival. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the fact that they offered breakfast was a nice touch. The biggest drawback really was the stairs. They are quite steep and difficult to maneuver with luggage. I saw another guest fall trying to navigate his luggage. I never would have gotten my big suitcase up the stairs by myself. I do have to say that the person at the front desk offered assistance if needed,...

"I loved it"

"Great place"

"The overall stay was fine, but when I went to check into my room; someone was still in that room apparently. The front desk lady had to reassign me to another room down the hall; I believe it was an upgrade ,so I’m not complaining. However, the lack of ensuring the room I booked wasn’t already or still occupied at the time seemed unprofessional."

"It’s an old hotel, so don’t expect modern day upgrades in the rooms. The hotel IS great. Our room was good. A few things wrong with room but no bad, sort of. Our a/c unit didn’t work, so we had to leave the window open our entire 4 day stay. Not bad. There IS, also, a big window in the shower, which is facing the street. Talk about putting a show for all those outside. Our room had a great view, and so did the outside looking in. It’s even worse when showering, or using bathroom at night. Beware...

"Amazing hotel with a full and open lobby area to enjoy; in addition the views from the bar/restaurant and outdoor deck provide a wonderful view of the harbor. Our room was spotless, loved the ladies who came by in the evening. They were so pleasant and efficient. We enjoyed oysters and cocktails in the evening and were taken care of by Sarah! What a pleasure to have her serve us, she really was a delight, sharing a lot about the town and its history, restaurants and coffee shop's! We hope to...

"A nice place to stay for our visit. We will definitely book here again in the future."

"Staff was really friendly, bed was super comfortable, breakfast was delicious!"

"The overall experience would have been great if it wasn’t for the thin walls and floors. Our room was clean and up to date and I appreciated the space. Beds were surprisingly comfortable and pillows were very nice to sleep in. I would recommend asking for a room on the top floor due to the loud noise coming from upstairs. Also keep in mind that you can hear everything at the hotel."

"This property is amazing. It is on a marina/ bay in gorgeous Salisbury right across the bridge from Newburyport. Room was cozy and clean. Easy check in and parking. Half mile from Newburyport downtown which is amazing. Definitely recommend this property and will visit in the future."

"room was cold. thermostat didn’t work. Other than that, was very enjoyable weekend."

"Great stay during a very busy weekend. Wonderful room and location."
