"The hotel location is very good, but the room cleaning didn't give us laundry detergent and only a small bottle of bath and shampoo, and didn't give tea bags. The faucet water is very slow, we hope to improve it in the future, and we will come back to stay again, thank you."

"Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was the same. Breakfast offered a good variety of options. Check in and check out was a breeze."

"We enjoyed our stay here. Easy access to Byward Market area."

"The Metcalfe Hotel was better than we imagined. The staff (from check-in desk to housekeeping to wait staff) were lovely and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure our pups also enjoyed their stay. So thankful to have a hotel that offers such care for their guests and their guests' dogs!"

"Clean rooms super helpful staff and very well located"

"great"

"Hôtel-résidence très agréable, les chambres sont grandes, avec cuisinette, divan et poste de travail. Tout est très propre. La seule amélioration à apporter: la qualité des aliments offerts au déjeuner le matin. Cela aurait été agréable d'avoir des options santé de qualité."

"Clean room but sheets didn't look as clean I had to request for sheets. And we had to change the sheets ourselves."

"Great stay every time!"

"Great hotel to get away from the busy hustle of Ottawa. Close to the museum of civilization. Large apartment style hotel."

"Excellent hotel and location"

"Great location. Good value. Clean room."

Basic breakfast included, as well as full kitchen amenities and large shared fridges if you preferred to cook your own meals. When we were there they had a pub crawl (19+) and various other organized activities happening as well as a daily jail tour - all included. The only issue we encountered was the water pressure in the showers on the sixth floor was a slow trickle at...

"Overall a good stay. The room was clean and the staff were nice and helpful when asked. Good location, right across from Byward and downtown. There's construction next door but they can't control it. They provided ear plugs beside the bed which was a nice touch. But just be warned, construction started as early as 630am so if you wanted to sleep in, you won't."
