"The hotel is great, but the only good thing about it's location is that it's right next to Gatwick South Terminal. No local amenities beyond a KFC and a McDonalds, and you have to cross what looks like a slip road and industrial estate to get to them. Very very functional, but being your own food."

"Beautiful old hotel near Gatwick (10-15 min by taxi, 23 GBP). We were upgraded to the Jane Seymour room which had a lovely back balcony over looking the pond and fountain. Beautiful grounds, you can see why it's so popular for weddings! The lounge areas and bar could be updated but were very cozy. There were many tables having afternoon tea when we arrived. We had drinks and informal dinner (good fish & chips) in the lounge and were very happy. A great place to stay if flying to or from Gatwick!...

"The owner collected us from the airport bus station, £15 for the 3 of us. Our room was adequate with 3 beds however the shower room was very good. Looked like it was recently refurbished. One issue was the shower head was loose. The room temperature was decent and the beds clean and comfortable though new pillows are needed as they are pretty thin. Also the scatter cushion covers need a wash. The location is great for Gatwick Airport and a reasonable price. "

"This would have been the perfect place for my overnight stay before collecting somebody from Gatwick airport early the next morning. However, it was a cold night and the heating was not on. When I called for assistance at 21.30 I was told that somebody would check the boiler and that it was on a timer and should come on soon! Nothing happened, although the hallway and passage ways were heated. I turned the knob as requested to no avail and nobody saw to it that the heating was on. I froze all...

"The location of the hotel was excellent for an early morning flight being across the road from the airport. The restaurant on the property was pretty good. Room amenities were also good and appreciated. I would definitely recommend this property."

"Booked the room as a family / triple room. There were always going to be 3 of us. All in room facilities were for 2. We even ran out of toilet paper without a spare roll left in the room. 2 star property with a 4 star price. "

"Perfectly situated in the terminal and Incredibly clean. What I would say is that additional features (e.g breakfast) are limited. But with an M&S in terminal this wasn’t an issue. "

We had to check out because of the smell in our non smoking room that felt like smoking room,causing an asthma attack on my aunt.we booked 6 days, spent a night and They refused to refund. They were only interested in the money not your safety. They did not leave to expectation. Book at your own risk!!"

"Do not book the hotel shuttle as the receptionist/driver may argue with you about the collection time even though it's pre booked. Order a Uber or get a taxi using an app to get a discount. There was someone using power tools till minutes to 11 pm then several people were traversing through the hallways up until midnight. "Arrived at a pitch black compound with no lighting, had to rely on my phone's flashlight. My son FELL DOWN in the darkness. Called the service number for help and was basically told 'other guests managed, so you should too'. Not only is this unsafe, it's unacceptable customer service. Very disappointed and would not recommend."
