"The building works currently taking place in the hotel destroyed the experience as was woken up in the early hours of the morning to banging and drilling. No advance warning was given to guests which I thought was incredibly frustrating."

"Good value for money. Near to the venue we were attending and to local pub for food. Both walking distance. I had messaged ahead to ask for a room near to lifts etc due to mobility issues but found the room to be a long walk away."

"Excellent stay with an extremely friendly check in with a lovely lady called Joy on reception. Room was very spacious and quiet with a modern, clean bathroom and great shower pressure. Very comfortable bed. Plenty of free parking, nice restaurants and bars nearby as well as shopping. Will definitely stay here again when flying from Birmingham Airport."

"No parking at this property is an issue and paying for parking only adds to the cost. Rooms were a good size but the beds are small considering the space that there is. Quilts are great if the weather is cold but the room is warm and even with aircon on and set at 20 degrees we were hot. Ugly cumbersome mugs to drink a cup of tea from. Breakfast is average."

"The high handed attitude about not servicing the room daily as they are a sustainability hotel. That shouldn’t mean dirty cups not removed and replaced with clean ones or empty refreshments tray. I did not expect to have to have any such conversation. My bed was not made, but I can live with it. Dirty crockery left outside rooms in the corridor. Staff were friendly and helpful but not necessarily properly trained."

"Friendly and helpful host. Nice welcome on arrival. Small but functional room with comfy bed, decent (shared) bathroom. Adequate parking. Nice continental breakfast. Comfy lounge area with big screen TV for watching cricket highlights! Walls are very thin. Could hear the next room folks talking at 1am."

"Everything about the hotel was perfect, and I will definitely consider Holiday Inn Express in the future as a priority. The hotel was spotless and the room was everything that you would want it to be. I particularly loved the blackout curtains, comfortable bed, pillows, and spacious bathroom. It was very quiet and I slept very well. Reception were really helpful and interested in whether you were having a good stay Breakfast was great and the woman who were attending the tables and the food...

"The hotel was lovely with just enough Telegraph themed elements. All the staff we interacted with were friendly, professional and efficient. The only downside is the lack of parking but this wouldn't stop us staying again."

"Had a 2 night stay at this property, very happy with our visit, couldn't really fault it to be fair, as we didn't really spend a lot of time there apart from our first night. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy, the staff were very helpful and cheerful, had breakfast on both mornings, opted for the classic breakfast, which was ample, the bar was well stocked and plenty staff serving. If I was to be picky, it is very minor points, I requested a twin room, but had a room for disabled...

"My husband booked a room in the house for our stay, as I was going to see Take That in Coventry. Google maps takes you to the property using the postcode (our car's sat nav didn't). In the house, there are 10 rooms all with their own shower room. The bed was comfortable, and the bedding was clean. The floor was very creaky and uneven and overall not horizontal, although it didn't really bother us. The shower doors were ok when they were shut, but one wasn't held in the lower track and needed...
