"The staff were friendly, the food quality was good. We were told that we could order a cooked breakfast after 9.30am because of the chef's preferred time of arrival, which was disappointing but we could have a continental breakfast before 9.30am. The rooms were clean and tidy but looked tired and needing some decorative tlc. The room's radiator was on full and could not be turned down or off; a window was left open, which helped to keep the room cooler. We felt our stay was pleasant enough for one night. "

"Great location. It was ideal for what we needed it for. We found it hadn't really been cleaned properly. Bits of chedder crisps left underneath the side table . We had to wash up most of the bowls and saucepans before use as had dried bits of food on them. My son dropped a small toy that rolled just under the bed in the main bedroom, it was filthy under there. Think they do the bare minimum clean between each guests. "

"Last weekend we stayed at the Wiveton Bell for two nights. I have to report that the pub has changed hands since we were last there. The room we had was well appointed; a small snug with two easy chairs, coffee table and sideboard ......kettle, coffee machine, magazines etc.... and a separate roomy bedroom with a TV and plenty of wardrobe/cupboard space plus a modern ensuite.  We had several issues regarding the room. When we arrived at 4pm we had to wait for it to be serviced.  It was apparent that the previous occupants had been dog owners. The shower had been used to wash their dog as there were sandy paw marks on the shower tray and hair and sand in the drain. There were also dirty paw prints on the inside the front door where it had jumped up to be let out. There was a dog bed in the wardrobe which, on removal to allow us to hang our clothes, revealed a quantity of sand and dirt where it had been.  There was a significant problem with the shower.The temperature control did not work. Whatever the setting, the shower was scalding hot. Fortunately, Sue tested the temperature before standing in the shower otherwise should would have been badly scalded. We reported the problem to a staff member when we went for dinner. She was aware that there was an issue and kindly went to fix it for us. Somehow she adjusted the setting to a sensible temperature for us to use with instructions not to touch it.  Worse stiil, the underfloor heating was totally out of control. When we arrived "
