"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"Rooms were spacious, modern and clean. We didn’t use the spa due to only staying one night and the extra charge as booked through Expedia but if book direct, it’s included. Breakfast was £16.95 and worth it. Great choice. Lovely outdoor seating area. Beds comfy. Bathrooms good. Quiet location. All was good."

"A good hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast buffet good. Crazy practice of charging hotel guests to park but that seems to be a growing trend. Be honest and include the charge in the hotel costs instead of hiding additional costs."

I knew from the pictures not to expect luxury but it was less attractive in person. The building had the feel of an old roadside motel and I would not have felt safe or secure there if I had been traveling alone. "Considering this is a bed and breakfast establishment, it is excellent. We stayed in a twin room and the beds were very comfortable, with good quality bedding. Good shower, with rain head and normal head, towels were plentiful and soft. All very clean. We did not have breakfast, but the room looked well appointed. Large lounge and reception areas, with a billiard table in one room. All the staff were lovely."

Also rate down when asking front desk about a shuttle bus which might take us to our cruise ship, was met with a response of “I have no idea; I’ve never been on a cruise.”"
