"I had an overall positive experience during my recent two day stay. Check-in was seamless, and Emily was incredibly welcoming and accommodating to my needs, which made a great first impression. The staff throughout my stay were friendly and approachable, and I really appreciated the warm service. The room itself was a nicely refurbished space, comfortable and modern, which added to an enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, there were a couple of housekeeping details that were overlooked. I noticed hair (not mine) across the shower tiles while I was in the shower, which was unpleasant, as well as some splatter marks on the mirror in the living area. I arranged for the room to be cleaned the following day through the app and also mentioned the specific areas needing attention to the receptionist the next morning, who assured me she would inform the cleaner. When I returned later that day, the room had clearly been serviced; however, the same areas had been missed again. Despite this issue not being rectified, my overall experience was still a good one thanks to the lovely staff and the comfort of the refurbished room. With a bit more attention to detail from housekeeping, it would have been excellent."

"Alicia (the blonde haired lady on reception - hoping i’ve remembered your name correctly!) was absolutely incredible with looking after us. The food was delicious with a very generous breakfast spread, the spa was clean and tidy. The room was so comfortable and tidy, lovely bed!! only a few things which we feel could improve; the coffee, tea and biscuits were not restocked every day so we often had to call to ask. Flannels and a toilet roll were not always resupplied so we needed to call for those too. Kids were very loud and splashing in the pool so the spa wasn’t always the most relaxing. However, we are so thankful for our stay and we will be back!! Thank you Alicia for making it so special, we hope to see you again on our next visit! 5 stars to Alicia (so sorry if my spelling is wrong!) but please do pass on my praise. "

"Solo traveller on business with this being the 4th different hotel in a week. Nice warm welcome and friendly staff. Had an executive double which was spacious and the bed was very comfy. It’s an old hotel with wood panelling in the bar and restaurant which tells you the type of character property this is. Stayed on a £40 half board rate which gave me £25 food & drink allowance for dinner… this is a bit rubbish as the cheapest main was £19 and a pint was £6 so that was the allocation gone. They obviously make money on the starters and dessert's but this is wrong in my opinion, I understand there are supplements with most of these deals but at least give a guests a choice of 2 or 3 courses so they at least have a feeling of value. I had fish and chips and it was Ok, not brilliant which makes me feel like I’ve been taken advantage of. Would I stay here again, probably not but for a business stopover close to my first meeting, it was fine."

"Clean room, clean towels each day. First time staying above the function room. Walls very thin so heard everything going on next door as well as downstairs but not too bad. Only real negative was the electric air freshener in each room and hallways. Smell was overpowering so we had to unplug ours and put it outside the room and open the windows to get some fresh air in the room. Saying that overall the stay was pleasant and rooms were a decent price. "

"Receptionist was ok but we were booked into a room that was having maintenance done so had to comeback downstairs. We were promised a restaurant voucher for compensation but received nothing. Swimming pool and spa pool were booked out and no free parking as stated on the facts on the tv. "

"I stay here for the proximity to close friends and I love my time here. It’s peaceful and relaxing and close to easy food options inc onsite dining and a Lidl :)!"
