The breakfast was amazing with a lot of options. "Explorer Hotel Berchtesgaden exceeded our expectations. The rooms -- with all having an amazing view -- provides a very efficient use of space. The breakfast buffet is outstanding -- offering an array of delicious items. And the service staff was top notch. And you can't find a better location to the popular attractions. "The breakfast quality was excellent and the waitresses wore traditional dress, reception was very helpful, the room was lovely although a little small but did have tea & coffee making facilities and a balcony from which we could see the eagles nest ( when the clouds cleared ) so all in all fabulous place 2 minutes drive from town which was perfect for us.
