Very nice traditional German hotel. It was clean and we had a comfortable stay. Breakfast was wonderful and all staff was friendly and helpful answering questions with a friendly attitude. Highly recommend this hotel

Allowed us to check in at 1pm (4 hours early) as our room was ready. Receptionist was very nice. Our stay included a free transport pass which allowed us to use local buses for free over 2 days (for a 1 night stay). Hotel is ideally located across road from railway station.

Excellent hotel, spacious room with a great view, immaculately clean. Fantastic breakfast, walkable distance to the train station, local buses and the thermal spa. Only downside- only one lift used by guests and the staff so can get very slow in the morning.

This hotel was great and in such a beautiful location there was nothing to dislike. The front desk staff were extremely helpful. The cafe and restaurant in the hotel were wonderful as well. Room was spacious and comfortable.

The breakfast was the best! Plenty of food. The best scrambled eggs, bacon, croissants and bread. Raspberry jam as well. Room is spacious. So convenient to catch a bus or train. Do it!

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful location on a sparkling clear river. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river and was put to sleep each night with the sound of the water. Staff was excellent and the food at their restaurant was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Lovely hotel in a great location in Berchtesgaden. View from our room of the alps was beautiful. Staff was friendly, breakfast was excellent, room was clean and spacious. Ordering the 'lunch bucket' was a great deal. Easy walk to a large grocery store, gelato, train station, and city center.

Overall experience was great. Staff there were really helpful and nice. There is no air conditioning, it may possibly a problem to some people. I was lucky that it didn't borther me much.

bathroom had no shelf to put your toothbrush and other items. No wash clothes and only had a couple TV channels mostly qvc. Biergarten was really nice the breakfast buffet and restaurant was great. There was a young blond waitress with and accent she was really friendly and smiled the whole time. The hotel is very close to the Kehlsteinhaus and Koenigsee. It's right by the river and street so it was a little noisy but great location.

I loved staying at Hotel Schwabenwirt! The staff gets an A for helpfulness! Unfortunately I didn’t get her name, but one of the receptionists felt like a friend by the time we left, as she had helped us multiple times throughout our stay in addition to check in and check out. Breakfast being included was convenient and helpful for keeping costs down and getting going with our activities earlier in the day than if we had to go find somewhere to eat breakfast. We highly recommend this stay for anyone visiting Berchtesgaden without a car and relying on public transportation, as it is right across the street from the train and bus station. Our only qualm was that our room faced the street, and the noise was loud until things calmed down late at night, especially since we had the window open pretty much constantly to regulate the temperature.
