Aside from being fairly near the train station and the Italian restaurant across the way, there isn't much nearby. We did hike the trail behind the hotel to the top of the mountain, and that was lovely. The receptionist was very helpful in coordinating and explaining our transit options to Lake Como."

"I got sick while in Lugano and spent a couple full days in my room. I was so grateful to be at this hotel. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful and the room and beds very comfortable. The pool kept the kids busy. Once I felt better I appreciated the location. It’s right near the lake and an easy walk to the center."

"Boreal B.1 was a great property for a family of five on an interrailing holiday. It was really well situated for the (Lugano) Paradiso train station, albeit that it is a short walk to the property up a steep hill. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was good, including a dishwasher and washing machine, but missing some of the utensils we have at home. Unfortunately the outdoor space had no furniture which was a shame as the view was beautiful. Aldi was a 10-15 minute walk away, although this is a steep hill. Bus stops were situated close to the property which made it easy to travel into Lugano. "
