The place is conveniently located near the train station as well as the funicular to go to the lake promenade. They are between 5 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel respectively. Daniel was very prompt in responding with whatever we need figured out in the room besides being nice and helpful. Thank you, Daniel; you made our stay wonderful!

The hotel is conpletely renovated, very modern interieur. The short walk from the trainstation (5 min) was very conveniant for us arriving with the train with lugguage. The city centre was easy to reach taking the funicular from the train station. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The free water (also sparling) was absolutely great. Great customer service, we would always go there again when going to Lugano!

The hotel was fine and very modern . There was no one at the front desk to answer questions I have a major complaint. During our stay, there was a breakfast buffet arranged in the lobby. There was no price on it. And there was no one at the desk for us to confirm whether breakfast was included or not. I assumed that this was for the guest and and I took the breakfast. My husband who was staying with me also got coffee for one or two days. Again, no one told us that breakfast was not included in our service and they did not tell us the actual price of the breakfast. Afterwards, I have been charged $199 for taking breakfast at the hotel for four days. This is unacceptable if I had known that the breakfast was expensive I would not have had anything. They were cheaper pay places to get coffee and a croissant outside the hotel.

Praktische Lage, stilvolle Zimmer und super Service. Wir hatten ein Problem mit der Heizung im Zimmer, was sofort gelöst wurde. Das Hotel ist währschaft und kreativ saniert. Kommen wieder.

OK, aber trotzdem enttäuscht

Aufgrund der Lage zum Bahnhof und dem Preisangebot habe ich dieses Hotel gebucht. Bei der Ankunft war alles sehr freundlich und der Empfang war sehr angenehm. Das Zimmer ist kleiner als erwartet und auch schon älter. Jedoch mehrheitlich sauber und das grosse Bett aufwertend. Das Bad ebenfalls älter, aber bis auf geringen Wasserdruck auch ohne weitere Beanstandungen. Was mich aber dann sehr störte, waren die Belagserneuerungen, welche bis um 03.30 Uhr dauerten und von meinem Zimmer aus in 50m Distanz stattfanden. Zuerst den alten Belag rausgefräst (ab 21.00 Uhr) und dann mit Maschinen ab Mitternacht eingebaut. Die Hotelleitung kann hier nichts dafür, aber einen Hinweis oder eine Preisreduktion wären sicher wünschenswert gewesen. Das Frühstück war corona konform bereits auf einem Tablett pro Zimmer bereit und reichte aus.

Les personnes étaient très accueillantes et aidantes : arrivée avant le Check-in et nous avons eu directement accès à la chambre; et avant le départ, ils nous ont laissé une clef de la porte d’entrée pour aller rechercher nos bagages. Une terrasse superbe, à 2 pas de la gare : top !

Sehr hilfsbereites nettes freundliches Personal. Haben uns wertvolle Ausflugtipps gegeben, merci Leider war das Zimmer im UG/ EG nicht optimal, = nur ein Fenster mit Aussicht auf Kellerwand. Kein Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Dieses Zimmer Nr4 kann ich nicht weiterempfehlen

Enttäuschendes Zimmer in kleinem Hotel

Gleich hinter dem Bahnhof Lugano befindet sich das kleine Hotel Stella. Wir hatten das Pech ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss zugewiesen zu bekommen, Fenster auf die Strasse, unattraktive Einrichtung. Die Lüftungen der Plastikmodulbäder vermutlich aus den 80er Jahren waren so laut, dass die Benutzung des Badzimmers durch unserer Zimmernachbarn uns am Abend und noch bis morgens um 2 Uhr so laut vorkamen wie Staubsauger. Service ansonsten nett, Frühstück ok, Kaffee gut, schönes Gärtchen.
